Is it possible to leave the stock ccv in place and just un plug it from the intake, plug off and route the stock hose away to vent to the air?

Yes it is but haven't had an issue yet. I have a different plug and a worm clamp to install but haven't had any issues with that plug.

I pulled my intake all apart cleaning the pounds of egr gunk and the plastic ccv tube broke and ford wanted an arm and leg for it so I figured I would just reroute it.
