Center console from a 2016 in 2011

A buddy of mine is offering to give me a 2016 center console from a lariat he's looking to purchase and stick it in my 2011 lariat with a center jump seat. My question is will it work? I would think so but I know the dash changed in at some point. Any info on the matter y'all have would be great. Google mainly yielded sales links not much tech wise

Yes, it will work. just swap everything over between the two trucks.

to just swap out the center console? I would think it couldn't take more than a few hours at best to unistall and reinstall both?

Shouldn't take more than a few minutes to swap titles. As long as he isn't expecting any payment, that is.....
