idk.. I would imagine those would be better. price comparison wise at a least they would be better quality. I was a little iffy being bluetooth. but it's actually all on the radar. you just have settings, and a map on the phone app

Cobra on any radar detector forum is also known as "paper weights"... in fact most guys would be irritated to know you were running a cobra as it will typically set off false alerts on a high end detector, though most experienced users can pick up the different bands of alert.

You truly get what you pay for in the detector world.

That said, that does look pretty sweet, but I can't help but wonder how well it works. You can always try valentine-1's 30 day free trial and run them side by side and see which does what.

it's like anything else. I wasn't willing to pay a ton and I'm not expecting it to be the best. if it saves me once I'll be happy with it. an I love the fact it's Bluetooth with my iPhone. just cause:D

I rock a Escort 8500 and it's been great to me so far! I was a little uneasy about the cobra, so i went escort!

I gave away an 8500 I was so disappointed with it. My buddy still uses it to this day in his VW GTI. He seems to like it, but I don't think he's had anything to compare it to.

Mines been great so far, done me well. Would love to have the 9500 but wasn't willing to pay the 400$ for it!

Any specific one you'd recommend? I'm leaning towards a Valentine One, but have never had anything better than a cobra before. And the V1 seems like a lot of $$$$
