Converter or full trans

Had two really hard flares today within about 2 minutes and it slipped a couple times after that, too. They were easier. Trans was warm. Should I put a converter in it, or should I go ahead and do clutches, too? Truck has 207XXX on it

I would do it all if i were you, if you are dead set on doing the trans. 2 intermittent flares doesent really sound hard part related, more of solenoid related. Which shift were the flares in?

3-5 I believe. You think I could get away with just doing a solenoid?

Depends. Still could very well be a clutch pack starting to go

Thats my thought too. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. May just wait awhile and end up putting a trans in it.
