Cylinder pressure and wastegate

I have the H&S waste gate, but never hear it open up. Does the waste gate help reduce cylinder pressures when it opens up? I also have mini, gh tunes, five inch straight pipe, egr ******, cai, o-ring heads, cab mod, and head studs. I run it on stock tunes because I tow a lot and heavy loads.

What boost level should I adjust the gate to open up? Not sure which way to turn the adjustment dial to open the gate sooner? Any ideas?

where is your gate located? is it relieving boost or drive pressure? is it just a regulator or what kind of dial are you referring to?

Driver side and hooked I think to the location where the egr was? It points down and I think the knob I'm talking about adjust pressure or relief settings. That knob is mounted to the fire wall. I hope that clarifies?

So its on the up pipe. Max should be around 45. Thats what Id adjust it too then see where that puts your EBP. if that's around 70 or lower then your good to go.. Thats my best understanding.
