Im new to the 6.0 world. Iv had a 7.3 before and did some DIY mods to it. What are some I can do with the 6.0L

There are a few more DIY mods, like a 58v ficm upgrade (google 58v diy ficm) and elite has a diy injector kit (http://www.elitedieselengineering.com/product/13420002/Stage-1-or-15-DIY-Kit-for-60L-Injectors/) but that takes a little money. There are also relatively cheap aftermarket turbo wheels (dieselsites WickedWheel) that you can do yourself for cheap. Unfortunately not too much is free or cheep with these trucks

Dont even bring up a CAI mod on these forums, the only thing you'll hear is "the stock one is good to 500hp". I found a cheap used CAI for mine and love it, but that's all I have to say about it... I suppose exhaust would be a DIY mod if you just bought a piece of straight pipe to replace your cat and muffler

I like the stock one. Keeps the engine clean looking. Oh by the way how hard is an egr delete to install?

If you are relatively mechanically inclined its not bad at all. Jst take your time label everything...

Beat me to it . 6.4 banjo bolts are a cheap mod to do with the blue spring .

updated fuel pressure regulator spring kit from ford. old spring gets wore out over time, supposed to help maintain fuel pressure, prolong injector life. around $60 for the kit.

What year do you have?

03-04.25 - Blue spring kit, 6.4 banjos, yank EGR cooler

04.25-up - above + upgrade standpipes & dummy plugs and new STC fitting
The HPO upgrades are a must for 05 year
