just saying hello, altough i would NEVER buy a ford i do need to learn more about them since im in the performance industry. i noticed i can answer just about any duramax question but when it comes to fords, i get stumped. ive wrenched on plenty of 6.0 and 7.3 and do know a fair amount about them but when it comes to whats best as far as performance or what supporting mods you need to run such and such, im dead in the water. i will be doing lots of reading. :thumbsup:

Welcome - you might find that there are many people here with awesome experiences across all platforms. Personally I'm an equal opportunity hater - I love the Ford chassis (and have a real soft spot for 7.3s) - but as time progresses I find myself loving the Duramax/Allison combo more and more in my 2500HD that I bought new in 2006. I am currently strongly considering buying an F450 King Ranch with the intention of installing a compound turbo'd LBZ and Allison into it to use as a dedicated tow truck for going to truck and tractor events.
