E4OD fluid

Please excuse the stupid question but this is my 1st auto and I am getting conflicting answers

Which fluid should I be putting in an E4OD after a filter service?

Anything Mercon V rated. That said, I use Schaeffer.

Thanks. I probably didn't need to change it, it came out perfectly clean and red. But I changed every other fluid and the ford reman trans has the updated 4r100 pan with the drain plug so it is super simple

The E4OD was designed around the Motorcraft Mercon V and that what belongs back in it.
