Might be a dumb question but what would it hurt if you ran it to a catch can with no vent? I have a Maryland performance ccv kit it is vented to atmosphere now. I have a mishimoto catch can I am going to install.

wont hurt nothing at all. and a catch can seems to be the way to go if venting to atmo.

I'm currently vented to atmo with no can. on hot summer days sitting in traffic I can smell the vapor. no leaks out of the hose or anything though. (it comes down right under driver door)

my thinking in evacuating to the exhaust is just to keep the vapor cleared out of the engine without sucking it back into the turbo like the factory system does.

I bought that Vibrant venturi, welded into the exhaust right at the bend from the down pipe. I routed the hose right along the front of the trans pan, straight across to where my fuel lines run up the frame to the engine bay.

I found a brass female -10 fitting with a 5/8" push lock on the other side.
Also found a 90* silicone hose that is 1" on one end and taper down to 3/4" on the other side.
The 1" side slid perfectly over the OEM CCV elbow.
I connected the 5/8" fuel line to the 3/4" hose with a brass hose barb adapter.
All in, I probably spent $80.

Glad to stop smelling those fumes.
They were pretty noxious on a hut summer day.
