Exhaust Tip Pic Request

My 6 month old dual walled 5 inch stainless MBRP tip is starting to rust prett good.

i emailed mbrp and they are working on warrantying it. i asked them if i have to get the exact same tip as i have now(i figured i would have to but hey, gotta ask lol). they said as long as it is of equal value to the tip i have now then i can get a different one. i want to go with a single wall rolled edge tip, partly b/c i like the look a bit better than the dual walled and i think the dual walled trapped some crap in there causing the rust. they asked what tip i was looking at and told them either the 4-6 rolled edge or the 4-5 rolled edge. they have not given me any word on whether or not i can get a different tip.

i know what the 5 inch looks like but i am a little worried that the 6" will look to "bold" on my truck, especially with the 4 inch exhaust pipe. So does anybody have any pics of 6" tips on obs trucks? preferably on the end of 4 inch pipe but tips on 5 inch will do as well. ideally a pic from a few feet away would be wanted to get some perspective.

Here's my 6" off of 4" pipe. Heres plenty of body shots of how the tip looks in proportion to the rest of the truck. Enough to look good and not gawdy.

To the OP, can we get some pics of your truck? IMO its really a truck-to-truck thing, i've got a 5" tip on my truck but i'm not sure if i'd like a 6". But my brother had a white ECLB OBS with a 6" or 7" and it fit perfectly.

here ya go. this was shortly after i got the truck, still with the stock exhaust but you get the idea. i am starting to lean towards 5 inch being my truck is 2wd, thus sitting a bit lower than 4x4.

it's been almost a weeks since i last heard from MBRP. not sure what is going on. i might just say the heck with it and wait till it get's worse and then paint it black.

Id definitely go with a 5" at the largest. IMO a 2wd with those rims/tires, a 6" tip would just look bad.

Thats 5" exhaust... I think it looks way too dinky for the size of the truck. I'll be getting a 7" tip by this summer.

I think you're on the right track. For your truck 5" would look best.
