I just pulled tranny pan on 06 f150 and found this .
.it was just lying in pan.

Wtf is it and where does it go?

I was told by my buddy that works on school busses and fleet vehicles to throw it away. Its just something ford uses during assembly or some sh!t.

I got nothing. Have you noticed any fluid anywhere it shouldn't be? It seems like a plug to me.

It is just used during assembly. I find them pretty often. Trash it.

Yep, its used when they shove the dip stick tube in the tranny at the factory if I recall. Its a good way to tell if the pans ever been off before for a serfvice.
