Fuel bowl thermostat

How the hell do you unhook the wire from the connector? I've pried on it with flat heads and it just chips away the plastic, so I stopped before I broke it.

Sorry the pictures I'm using are for reference the plug I'm talking about is the middle one. Anyone have the answer? I just got the new one from dieselorings an hope to put it in tomorrow.

Ah.
It's probably just old and brittle.
Really far as the heater is concerned, best to just leave it unplugged anyways.
Pry under the end with the wire.

Leave it unplugged, you don't need it. If the heater shorts out (very common), it'll leave you stranded.

I believe there is a nut on the inside of the fuel bowl. You need to remove the filter stand pipe with a 7/8 crowfoot wrench..... CAUTION: the stand pipe is left hand thread.

Top plug is fuel striction sensor
Middle plug is fuel heater
Bottom plug is water in fuel sensor
