Apparently I have the luckiest friend in the world. He was cleaning out his work area where he services a dealerships new used inventory and ran across a race tuner. It had the original software. it had 661 updates when we updated it. it's model number 109003. I'm not sure what it's worth but shoot me and offer and I'll relay it to him. It has all cables and window mount.

I can't get my buddy to commit to selling it. He had me list it for him but wants 1750 for it which I think is crazy. He swears it will tune a 6.7 I'm not sure how to tell exactly what tuner it is. We were going off the discontinued part number on the h&s website. It says high sulfur tune on the info screen.

It should be able to tune a 6.7 but will need the unlock code for off road tuning. I don't know if that's as easy to get anymore as it once was

109003 will only tune 11/12 6.7 and only if you buy a $100 VIN code

brand new international tuners that will tune 11-14 6.7's with no additional code necessary go for $1700-1800 (or less if you shop around)

I'd say he's a little high

That's the same model number as mine and it did the off road tuning with no additional unlock code, the only code you should need for that is if you want mcc

No it's the model I received, still in the box in the original packaging, that's the model number for the race tuner, that H&S doesn't make any more at least according to their website

There are companies out there printing their own 109003 labels and putting it on the box.

If the label and the tuner doesn't have a serial number and it will work on 2013-2014 trucks, it's not a 109003. Most likely a relabeled international tuner.

just saying

Tuners designed for the international market... IE, full delete tuning straight out of the box for all supported model years up to 2014 Ford. No high sulfur unlock code necessary.

they seem to be pretty available, but are often sold as "109003"

I hate to harp on every one of these threads, but what I'm trying to avoid is somebody buying an ACTUAL 109003 for $1000-1500+ and finding out that it won't work on their truck :(

best way to tell is look at the firmwear version. this is the number in the lower left corner when you first power up the unit. It's also displayed on the show settings screen. If it's a 1.0.0.x, 1.0.1.x, or 1.0.2.x, it's a true "race" tuner (109002 Black Maxx, 109003 Mini Maxx, 109005 XRT PRO)

A race tuner only works up to 2012 Ford and 6.7 Ford and LML Duramax require a $100 VIN code in order to load.

If it's a 1.0.3.x it's a Street tuner (109007/209007 Mini Maxx, 109006/209006 XRT PRO)

A street tuner can have a high sulfur unlock code if it's a series 1 (109007, 109006) Series 1 units have individual serial numbers on the box label and in the show settings menu

If it's a 209007/6 with an individual serial number on the label, it's a "US ONLY" model, and there is nowhere to input a high sulfur unlock code. MCC tunes can still be utilized.

If it's a 209007/6 with no serial number on the label and a generic 111111111116 serial number on the show settings menu, it's an international tuner and will do full deletes straight out of the box. I have seen a lot of these being sold with a third party 109003 Race sticker applied over the factory applied sticker.

Again, I'm not trying to be Mr. Know-it-all and harp on all of these threads. I'm just trying to save somebody from spending a grip of money on a tuner that won't work on their truck

I'm not sure ill check when I get back in the truck, I'm not saying your wrong btw lol.
I called H&S after I got mine because I couldn't register it because it didn't have a serial number and from what I was told if it doesn't have a serial number it's a race tuner
