Has anyone hydrodipped their mirrors/other exterior parts?

Trying to decide what to do with some stuff on my truck, I have heard that some mirror housings are difficult to paint due to the 'wrinkle' finish on them.

I talked to a guy last weekend . He does hydrodip and dipped his 06 F250's mirror caps and door handles in carbon fiber . It looked amazing after years of use . He was 1/3 the cost of painting .

Thanks for the input, this sounds very promising. I'm planning on doing my badges, the hood cowl, and my mirrors.
