i want a 6.4

houdy ive been looking into tradeing up to a 6.4 i was just wondering what all needs to be done to make it reliable, and what hp range can i expect from stock turbos just good tunes ,intake.exhaust??

Dpf delete, tunes, egr delete, studs if you want to. I would say 450hp on a mild tune to right under 600hp on a big tune.

Tuner, intake, exhaust, and an EGR cooler delete would be the first recommended action taken. I would follow that with head studs and transmission modifications.

Tunes range quite a bit. Like stated already, 450-500 horsepower with a mild tune. 500-550 with a big tune. 550-600 with an all out race tune. The 550-600 range is when you want to start considering head studs and building the transmission up some.

I went from a 7.3 about the same of yours to 6.4 and never looked back once. EAsier to work on more power and all around updated truck is so much better
