you must have a heck of a time filling your cups at home if that item pops in to your head as a cup
iirc the first post stated those were replaced

Calling kingpins and bushings 'cones' and 'cups' is pretty much common place.
Don't think I've ever head an OTR mechanic call them anything but actually.

also, if you read the manual it does refer to the race as a cup and the bearing as a cone
BUT
it does not call the upper tapered bushing a cup which is the part Joey linked to
so either Joe sucks at the internet and meant to say the lower race was pooched, or he is just making up nomenclature again.

Call it what ever you want.
The point is to help the op fix his truck.
He has either.....
A bent knuckle.
Or a bad pivot.

I called it a "pivot" just to avoid anymore posturing.

They are NOT all out of alignment by design. I've owned and sold several dozen.
