New vin license

I recently traded my 15 for a 17. when i traded i was unable to return to stock with the sct. I still have the sct and will prob sell it. Will I need to purchase another vin license. I thought I read that somewhere. Thanks for the help

Sct wont unlock these units anymore due to regulations. Are there any ways to get around this?

I sent mine in last week and they unlocked it for me, got it back yesterday.

Well I hope thats not the case... I purchased tunes yesterday and will have them today. I guess we will see today
