Well when I was out at sheids my truck started acting up, threw a P242E code and says slow down saftley, to my knowledge that is a dpf code correct? Eric at innovative said as long as the sensors were plugged in they were fine, the computer just wants to know its there. Mine are in the exhaust though and plugged in tight with no corrosion.

Is the sensor bad? or is somthing else going on that would cause this? I almost thought it was trying to regen but knew one it wasnt possible, two eric has all of that stuff blocked out.

Could be wiring. We had a truck come in with a sensor 1 code. Replaced with a known working sensor, no change. Ran jumper wire from PCM to sensor and it worked. Ran a new wire to the sensor and spliced it in. Works like a charm now
