Went off into a ditch last night and ended up getting stuck. When I got out I had no power steering and ****ty brakes. Any ideas on where to look as far as problems. As of last night I still had power steering fluid. Im working right now so I will have to diagnose later tonight. Any incite and help will be appreciated. Thank you

Well if you still have fluid then maybe the pump is shot, the brakes are probly just gummed up with mud n shyt.

Ive always wondered if ford upgraded the power steering on the diesels. Seems they should because of the weight of the motors but i can see that not happening. I always try not to crank the wheel when not moving unless i absolutely must just to save wear on the pump.

Hydroboost brakes use the powersteering pump's pressure for brake pressure (instead of vacuum), so it goes to reason if the pump goes bad, both steering and brakes will suffer.
