Question about aftereffects on egr delete

I did an egr delete and now I notice the rpms hang and slowly go down. Both highway and street driving. Also I hear a weird noise like a prower steering pump turned too far, like a hum. Any ideas?

While I didn't see anything like that, my turbo wouldn't cycle properly until I re-plugged in the EGR valve itself. It's laying on the intake manifold, but it completing the connection enabled my turbo to cycle properly.

Thanks with the IPR egr 2 kit, the egr does stay in place and plugged in

Just did an egr delete on my stock 06. No tunes so my engine light is on. Also installed exhaust at the same time so i can hear my vgt working and seems like its working right. Spool up seems normal. Can also build 21-22psi in locked in od at ~1700 rpm which im not used to coming from a 7.3 but maybe thats typical 6.0 manifold pressure :shrug:
