rear axle seal

I think I have a rear axle seal going bad. Just wondering if its a pain to do on these trucks or not that bad.
The truck only has 23,000 on it Im surprised that it went out that quick!!!!

Why do you think that?
Do you have gear oil on the wheel or something?
Have you tried just to snug up the bolts on the axle, it should be just a gasket.

Yes there is oil on the inside of the wheel and it stinks real bad when hot!!!!
I have not got into it yet.
