I had my zf5 in my 95 f250 rebuilt and ever since then it wants to grind when going into reverse, and sometimes you got to kill the truck to get it to go into a gear when setting still. or shifting fast it will grind really bad. I took the little arm that goes from the clutch peddle to the master cylinder and threaded it, cut it into two pieces, put a long nut and a jam nut on it to adjust the clutch out as far as I could. made it better but still is doing the same thing.

any ideas on what it could be?
master cylinder going out? slave cylinder?

any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! thanks

its been a battle between my 95 and e99, both are nickeling and diming me to death it seems like.

Have you checked the bushing where the linkage connects to the clutch pedal arm. I've had to replace it a few times cause when it wears out it doesn't fully disengage the clutch cause of the play.
