Reverse question

So on my 1997 CCLB, it struggles in reverse like it is slipping, I figure it has a billion miles on it so that is to be expected, but today I noticed while the girl was moving it, the reverse lights only kick on for a second and then go off, I was wondering if there was any connection

Bump, where can I get a cheap trans for an OBS, the tans has 330k on it, the motor was swapped out 150k ago
