getting things to put the motor back together. I am wondering about the rod bolts. replacing all the bearings but heard the bolts are tty and not to be reused. any truth in this? are the arp bolts worth it? not too many mods maybe around 500hp.

The rod boots are not tty. I did my bearings about 45-50k ago, and have had no issues.

Almost every remand motor I've seen come through for failure was a rod cap issue related to the bolts either backing out or shearing.

I'd go ARP

If installing arp rod bolts it might be a good idea to get big end of rod resized.
