s468 on a 6.4?

I've noticed the guys that run singles usually run a 66, 72 or 75. Why is it that people don't try the 468? It seems to work really well on the 7.3 and 6.7 cummins. Do they not fit due to the race cover? Been wondering this for a while.

Don't mean to jack the thread but what's the difference between a race cover and a regular cover

You can get a standard cover on a 467.7.

I wondered the same thing and I'm gonna guess the reason is money 68 is almost double what I can't get a 72 or 66.

Cast wheel standard cover 467.7 is not double the price.

Cale put one on a 6.4. Ran hard had a built trans and Cale's tunes. Never put it on the dyno.

I always figured the 468 fmw would do good on a 6.4 but hadn't ever seen one and was curious. I'd imagine it'd pull pretty damn hard and still have decent low end response.

It wasn't near as reapsive as stock chargers. Pulled good up top.
