I'm looking to either do it myself or have it done. I'm looking for some input from the guys who have done it themselves. I'd like like to know how you did it and if it has lasted with out peeling off or anything like that. Thanks!

It is easy to diy. Mine have held up with zero issues. The honey comb part takes a lot of paint to really cover every surface though.

Are you paint matching the emblems and going black with the vents?

If so make sure with the vents you clean them very well and use a paint for plastics or maybe an adhesion promoter.. Mine peeled after about a year when I used a pressure washer to get some mud and snow off my truck and I redid them a scuffed them a bit better for adhesion.

I'm wanting to black out the emblems and the vents. I've going with red and black colors on the truck and the remaining chrome is starting to stand out in a bad way. I figured this would be a fairly easy one to knock out.

they just push in. Reach behind the fender with the hood open and you can push the clips out. Or take the fender liner loose.
