Spare keys

I bought my truck from a 2nd hand dealership and I only got 1 key with the truck is there a way I can get another key for the truck and if so how do I get it.

Ford has to encode it for you, some lock smiths might have the hardware to do the encoding but easiest is likely the dealership.

Expensive. 90 or so bucks I believe.

any competent locksmith can program you a key.

once you have two, you can program your own

I thought if you have AE they can also program the spare keys?
I also have 1 key and thought of getting a spare. I was told AE could program them and on my AE there is a place to program them I believe but I never tried it to see if it works.

Try any local place that cuts keys or locksmiths. Dealer charges for the key then for 1hr of shop time to do it.

I got a second key cut and programed for mine and it cost me $30. from my local locksmith.

local ford dealer here charged $47 for the key and if i can ever get it back on the road another $50 to program the key
