I've heard and could be wrong but the high torque start from DB is from China and not very reliable. I got one from them years ago and it was an actual Nippondenso. Might try to find someone who actually sells that version. Again could be wrong.

These guys carry them....never had any experience with them.

You could try a sponsor too.

Had a DB, lasted a year. Bought NAPA's version of a high torque starter and it's still going stronger than the DB ever did and it's 2 years old (knock on wood).

I wouldn't buy the DB starter. I have seen at least 3 failures in a short period of time.
