Tranny question

So I have my truck put together with a "new" transmission, 4" MBRP turbo back and Edge Evolution.
When the tranny was out, I noticed the flywheel had a "E4OD" stamp on it.
Now I know my truck is a 4R100, so why does a 2003 F250 7.3 have a E4OD flywheel?

I think they come like that from the parts stores. When I replaced the one on mine,both it and the napa special I bought had E4OD stamped on it as well.

they are both the same basic transmission that evolved from the c6 (of course a different bellhousing and more converter studs etc etc)

Alright thanks for the answers guys.
And now I may need a new tranny or a torque converter.
I will never buy a used transmission again.
