Trans issue

Started my truck about 30 minutes ago went to leave and pulled out of the driveway onto the street and wouldn't go into drive.. or any other gear. Checked the trans fluid its full, doesn't smell burnt. Don't know much about transmissions, believe it's a e4od trans anything will help

Check the linkage to ensure its actually going into gear.

Had another person with and it seemed like it was but usually when I put it in gear the truck jumps a little and I didn't feel anything when going to any gear

Could it be the torque converter?

Is the gear selector on the side of the transmission actually shifting into gear? Move the gear selector on the trans by hand.

Has your transfer case slipped into neutral?

Disclaimer: I'm not an OBS/Superduty expert. This is where I would start on any vehicle.

It was the transfer case in neutral .... thank you

Now figure out why it happened so it doesn't happen again. Broken trans mount, linkage retainers....

I think I just may have kicked it on accident or got moved when testing the 4wd out yesterday
