Trans issues w/ codes

Friend of mines truck started acting up just recently. I think the truck is an '01 F-250. He said it started shifting late from 1st to 2nd and would bang 2nd hard, then third gear would slip. OD light was flashing so he pulled the codes and got PO732, PO733, PO781, and PO782. He cleared the codes and said it shifted fine for a while but tripped out again.

Sounds like a connector or solenoid issue to me, but what do you guys think.

Solenoid pack going out did the same to me and smoked my converter in the process

Sounds good. Do they sell the whole pack as one unit?

If it is a 2001 7.3L then the problem is a failed mechanical diode. That's also known as the intermediate one way clutch. Either rebuild or replace the transmission.

If it isn't a 2001 then it doesn't have a mechanical diode and there is a different problem.
