So a couple questions on this.
My transmission is dead quite until the TC locks in 4th/5th, then it makes a howling/growling noise that I can hear, as well as feel in the floorboard, and it doesn't stop until the TC unlocks. Using the minimax to watch with the TC locks and unlocks to confirm this. When it's dead cold and I first take off in the morning the truck makes a loud whooshing noise, a lot like a popped intercooler hose but its not, and it's dead nuts slow like power is not getting to the ground. Once the truck warms up just a little bit the noise is gone and it moves like normal.
Is this a sign the TC is on it's way out? If so, anybody know of a place in Idaho to get this fixed that knows what their doing? I've worked on manuals but never an automatic and don't want to mess something up.
