I have the Mini-Max with ******** tunes, all ******s, CAI, ARP studs, H@S waste-gate. Head gaskets blew 9 months ago. Truck is used for towing most of the time and head gasket blew again this month. Having O-rings down on heads this time to help prevent again. My question is the ******** tunes, are they advancing the timing and fuel pressure so much that this is why gaskets blew again? Also the cross hatching in 1 and 2 cylinders have diminished a lot in 6000 miles and wondering if these tunes contributed to that? I have left two messages with someone at ******** that said that a 6.4 specialist will call me back, and sent a message per there web site, with no response or call backs. Im thinking about going back to the Mild setting on H&S tunes. Does anyone recommend this or try a different tune?

i never had issues with their tunes on several trucks...cross hatching is likely diminished from pre dleet days due to washdown from regen.

i would be checking other things than blaming the tunes, what is ebp?

Did you have the heads surfaced when the headaskets were replaced the first time? Were the decks on the block cleaned well/lapped? Were the ARP studs installed at that time? If so, was the proper torque sequence followed? Lots of factors that can cause headgasket issues.

Yes heads were resurfaced the first time. Yes ARP installed at that time. I dont know about the other questions. I only have 48,000 on truck and ******s took place at 38,000. Blew gaskets soon after ******s, then blew again this month. EBP was never over 50. If EBP got in the 40 are started to back off. Boost was never above 38. He had heads resurfaced again, installing O-ring set-up on heads, new gaskets, and rockers (didnt need to but did it anyway).
