I have a 2003 f250 4x4 crew cab. When i start it from sitting for a while it starts and runs good. When you take off the rpms come up slowly but the truck still has now power for about 10-15 seconds. I dont really hear the turbo spooling up for this time. Is there something that I can check to fix this?

Have u checked for a boost/exhaust leak? Google boost leak tester. You can build one for like 20 bucks. As for exhaust check for soot on the firewall. I'm on my phone so I can't see sigs but do u have gauges? If so does it build full boost once it spools? If you do not have a boost or exhaust leak my bet is a sticky unison ring in the turbo. There are videos on youtube on how to clean the ring and vanes.

I dont have any gauges. Truck is all stock except the converter gutted. Once it builds boost it seems fine for the rest of the time its running. I guess I will clean egr and unison ring and vanes this weekend if I get time. Thanks for yalls help.
