What size carrier bearing?

Hey guys,

I am wanting to replace the carrier bearing on my truck as the rubber is gone. But, I am not sure what size bearing I need? Looks like most part websites show a 35mm and 40 mm ID bearing? My truck is a 2000 7.3 4x4 extended cab long bed if it helps?

My 2001 super cab long bed DRW needed the larger one. Do you have a set of calipers you can measure to be sure? If you get it locally, typically you can get both and return the one that doesnt fit.

I am thinking it is the larger one, I wasn't sure if I would be able to measure with it on the truck. Guess I will dig out the calipers and have at it.

Take the entire shaft off and drop it off at a driveshaft shop. Change the carrier, u-joints and have them balance it.
