You shouldn't use starting fluid on these trucks it's really bad, and i would try and get a gauge on it to check your fuel pressure to see if the pump is getting weak

Sounds like your rca's might be going bad, you should try and change them to known good ones, or pull your stereo out and see if they unplugged or try new ones

My truck did this, i also thought it was a dead starter, went and got a new one same thing. i cleaned up all my connections real good with steel wool, truck fired like nothing was wrong. its worth a try b4 you get a starter.

Make sure the cable isn't installed backwards in the chip try flipping it around

Riff Raff has very good prices on oe stuff, gaskets, sensors, ets. And if you have the cash i would get all 8 glow plugs and injectors so they all flow the same, and you wont have issues with old ones going out. And full force, p.i.s., swamps, unlimited performance, all will get you set up...

Dam after i went threw this thread i looked at my pump and its leaking out of the back cover, great. I've been issue free for 2 to 3 years, its always put out mad oil, but im going to get rid of it for piece of mind.

Dam the paint on the axle looks like its about to drip off, and those tail lights are a work of art, your not giving yourself enough credit. Great work can wait to see it all done.

I never noticed how big that pump actually is, its friggin huge. This should be a fun setup, good luck on the build
