    Battery time

Yea I think it'll be Motorcrafts going in it, the Odyssey is super nice, but nearly double the price. I definitely appreciate the advice 01 7.3 F250 4" Diamond Eye exhaust "Tymar" Intake EGT, Trans Temp, Boost

Damn, if only there was money for a pair of those nice lithium batteries. I've heard Motorcraft were good, but I'm glad I heard about the Sears batteries. Saves me a trip 01 7.3 F250 4" Diamond Eye exhaust "Tymar" Intake EGT, Trans Temp, Boost

What's everyone running? I've heard Optima red tops, or Sears diehard platinum, which is manufactured by Odyssey. I'm gonna go check Sears tomorrow, but I can get a really good deal on the red tops. Just looking for opinions? Or another suggestion as well.

    Serpentine belt

Na single alt, I was just confused about the whole "cold weather package" option. Nonetheless, it's fixed now, I was able to be able to decipher enough of the number on the belt. The squeak was driving me nuts. Odds are the belt would have lasted another 50K though. I was just annoyed with it...

Yea, called NAPA. Never even mentioned "cold weather package" just single or dual alts... I do believe Ima go fu¢k with some parts store employees [emoji23] 01 7.3 F250 4" Diamond Eye exhaust "Tymar" Intake EGT, Trans Temp, Boost

Well, that would suck. I can't even imagine that conversation with the parts counter 01 7.3 F250 4" Diamond Eye exhaust "Tymar" Intake EGT, Trans Temp, Boost

One of the downfalls of owning an older truck I guess, I have to research everything. Thanks for the help fellas

Sweet Jesus, that spark plug thing is scary, not trying to cheap out, just fix it today. Thank you for restoring my faith that parts counter guys are morons

    Serpentine belt

Every parts store I called, advanced, auto zone, and Oreillys all gave a "cold weather option". That's what tripped me out, I had never heard any different until I called the parts store

    Serpentine belt

That's what I assumed too, I thought it may be a clearance issue. Just repeating what the guy at the parts store said. That's why I asked here

    Serpentine belt

Ok, so it's time for a new belt, and I have 2 options to choose from. Cold weather package, and without cold weather. I live in NC so the block heater has never been used (since I've owned the truck). Does anyone know the actual difference in the 2? Could I run the regular belt? Or is the cold...

    Alternator trouble

Ok, well if it's a situation where I have duals would it be kosher to just change the one? I figured dual alts was more of an ambulance type of deal. I'll take a look regardless

    Alternator trouble

I just can't understand why the battery light goes OFF when the alt is unplugged. It should be drawing voltage bad at that point I would assume 01 7.3 F250 4" Diamond Eye exhaust "Tymar" Intake EGT, Trans Temp, Boost

    Alternator trouble

Battery light keeps popping up, and goes away. Fiddled with the connection on the alternator and when unplugged the light goes off. I'm 99.9% sure it's an alt issue, I'm just wondering if there is more than one alternator and the light is going off because the second one is picking up the load...
