I’ve tried GH tuning and wasn’t pleased with the trans tuning at all. I’ve spoken with my current tuner and he told me it was running 18* timing max. It actually made 630 on other tuning. It probably made more power on this particular tune, that info was just included as reference that the...- 08Stroke

So I’d like to get some opinions on what the heck happened here. Less than 45k miles on motor #2 and boom! Cracked number 8 clean across and the other 7 have smaller fracture cracks in them. Best 1/4 time for my CCSB was 12.8 with a 1.79 60'. That was with 20x10 Moto Metal Wheels with 305/50/20 Terra Graps. Tuning was H&S Canned 300 tune. Other Mods were Twisted Diesel Stage 3 Trans, Studded & Deleted, S&B Cold Air, 4" AFE turbo back, 6.0 Manifolds and Rudys Wastegate kit...- 08Stroke

Didn't know that about the elite valve train parts. I have everything but the valve springs, pushrods and up-pipes. Everything else is here waiting to be installed. Turbos and fuel system will be way later on. Don't want to up the power too much. If I have it, I'll be too tempted to use it and that means my trans probably wouldn't last for very long. Looks like Head Studs after all... What else should I do?
Well I only want to yank this cab once. The truck is going to be used as a DD, some short distance trailer pulling and the occasional long haul with a trailer (>1k one way). Does anyone know of a head gasket test or tool that I could use to fully test the gaskets and tell me for sure one way or another? -

I'll try filling it to the bottom line only. I was going to the middle of the 2 lines. I have kept a check on it to try and pinpoint when it pukes. I can clean everything under the hood, take it out for a spin nice and easy, nothing. Take it out and get on it a few times, still nothing. Then... -

It's not leaking due to head gasket failure so I don't think ARP's will solve anything. I'm only running the 250 tune on the H&S so not pushing the truck too hard. It seems to just be burping from around the cap and trickling down the side of the bottle. -
