    shackle flip?

I'm pretty sure your talking about my thread from back in the day. I ran with it for about a year with zero issues. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. Simple and cheap, helps rid the sagging ass from lift/leveling kits without interference. Also its reversible, so I'd say do the stock hanger...

6” lift shocks on 8” lift?

Stacked blocks can be done even though some are dead set against it. But IMO traction bars are a must and I prefer to put heavier u-bolts on. With any more block beyond stock your going to axle wrap pretty bad, especially with 7" worth of block. I'd be looking another direction for rear lift...

6” lift shocks on 8” lift?

As for the back you'll need shocks long enough, there is no extension Ive ever seen. The rear shocks tend to be long anyways. Aftermarket lifted shocks for the rear typically have wide ranges of 3"-7" or 4"-8" or 6-8" lift heights for examples depending on brand. I would add the lift in and buy...

6” lift shocks on 8” lift?

It should be fine to run both. Your caster angle will be near its limit but still tolerable. Many have done the same. Most lift kits regardless of size bring the geometries back to stock, so adding 2" will provide the same angles as if you were stock height adding a spacer lift. As for shock...

    Regulated

I'm just guessing, but I would think having the pump set at 10 PSI and no regulator beyond would work at idle-part throttle. At high-WOT, the pressure would drop, very possibly go on vacuum, especially with dual fuelers. I don't actually know as I've never monitored/tested it before, just a...

    Mounting bolts for ported intake

Something I encourage you to do as with anyone is to double check the length of the manifold bolts as they fasten the manifold down. I learned the hard way when i installed a brand new stage 3 ported manifold from a highly reputable vendor. The manifold for starters was slightly warped, not a...

    F450 suspension ?

Something else I should add when your playing with spring rates to soften ride, the best rides have rates similar front to back. You can put the softest, most plush riding springs in the front that you want, but if the stock aggressive spring rate is used in the rear, not much gets accomplished...

    F450 suspension ?

Correct the 450 frame is different, "Heavier" but minimally. The frame weight difference is less than 500 pounds. But call it a 500 pounds heavier for argument sake, cut that in half because the front springs are holding half of it, so 250 pounds additional on the front, divided between two...

    F450 suspension ?

IMO you can use whatever spring the SRW superduties are using to lower/soften the ride up front. The f-450 is very close in weight to the srw frame/body wise up front as very little is changed. Much of the additional weight of a 450 is unsprung weight in axles,wheels/tires so it doesn't matter...

    Cracked block symptoms?

Spun a bearing I'd think, crank looks like it got a little warm.

    6.4 single turbo white smoke

I'd be leaning towards turbo seal for sure. Dealt with it myself, it takes very little grit of contamination to destroy a brand new turbo seal/bearing/bushing. And when they let go into the exhaust its fairly white exhaust, not blue-ish like most would think.

Hotter oil temp after bypass oil install?

What oil bypass are you referring to? Bp oil cooler kit? Or just an oil filter bypass? or what.

    True trac install

To an experienced hand that has setup rear ends before, its pretty straight forward and simple but a little time consuming to do properly. For someone that hasn't done one before, and has to ask how hard or what tools(I mean NO offence either), I wouldn't recommend trying without a significant...

    Lower EGTs

I totally agree with you for the most part. And yes, larger drop in chargers will yield significantly more hp and lower egts over an intercooler upgrade hands down. But that's an apples to oranges comparison. However I don't see the intercooler getting heat soaked much if your continuously...

    Lower EGTs

Agreed, I did same day, same roads, same temps, same everything, cruise controlled before and afters at all speeds, took down egt averages throughout, and did see a drop throughout. Not huge but a drop none the less. My old thread is on nation. Stock turbos/basic supporting plumbing upgrades at...

Actually have to do a brake job. Are there any good aftermarket brake pads and rotors

I've been running the ssbc calipers front and rear for just about a year now. They came with their own pads which I'm also using. The front 6 piston set are a complete caliper replacement that use a different style of pad other than stock. So stock pads don't fit. Rear 3 piston calipers is a...

    How to Lower temps

I highly recommend the bpd oil cooler if you tow heavy regularly, or have an oil cooler plugging off. It drops your oil temp ALOT. My temp difference oil/coolant use to be roughly 5-10 degrees difference(empty highway cruising), and as high as 20-30 degrees difference towing heaving at high...

    Faster Spool

4.56 is too steep IMO for 37's. Especially if you do highway cruising a lot and want to maintain some mileage. I went from 3.55/38.5" rubber which was luggy but had so much jam on the highway at speed for passing, ect. Pretty well any time it was spooled it still threw you back into the seat...
