Very good to hear Matt.

I've had your tuning on my 08, and 11, and have been bothering Mick for over a year on 15 tuning.

Looking forward to what you have in store.

Thanks, David

Always good to see more options with tuning out there. The more the better as far as I'm concerned. Looking forward to see how they do. If I currently owned a stock 6.7 I'd be very tempted to give Spartan tuning a try on it.

This brings back memories of the old days when the 6.4 came out. Lol watching the forums like a hawk waiting for Matt to spill the beans.

I'm up to give the challenge a try. I'd much prefer a properly built, albeit late released, product over something rushed. Late delivery of the tools I needed to start development don't alter our mission in the least. Nor does it change the fact that our product will bring options to bear in the market that don't exist anywhere else. A market vacuum makes for easy market domination.

Which is exactly why SCT reigns currently, one might conclude. And if you are going to speculate wildly on the outcome of a product not yet even released, I'll argue semantics and point out that SCT actually offers nothing other in the 6.7 race market- much more qualified people, like Innovative and Gearhead, build and sell those products. Your post above is bordering on strawman.

For the immediate future, we are going to continue working on the best products within technical reach, and provide updates to our existing products to follow in line with what our current customers are asking for. 13-16MY support and improvements to our 11/12MY product were at the top of the list.

As to who remains king of the hill, I suppose time will tell. Perhaps my memory fails me, but I'm almost certain I recall you making a strikingly similar observation between Spartan and H&S back in 2011. Something to the note of, Spartan was irrelevant now that H&S offers a competing product?

An objective narrator might point out that it seems time settled that discussion, too.

Any update on HP numbers for 15-16 trucks?

We have lots of numbers as there has been a lot of time spent on the dyno, but Matt isn't quite ready to release them just yet.

This brings back memories of the old days when the 6.4 came out. Lol watching the forums like a hawk waiting for Matt to spill the beans.

I remember those days well!

It will be worth it in the end.

Dyno Numbers

I know you guys have been waiting for these, so here they are. Please excuse the poor photo quality, as I had to snap them on my phone from the shop and haven't had time to get "proper" graphs put together.

This is from our latest race tune I have in testing. All numbers here are uncorrected, at 2200ft density altitude, approximately 84 degrees at time of testing. Truck is a 2015 F350 SRW, 3.55 rear gears and stock 265/75/R20 tires- AFE stainless exhaust, S&B intake, and our race tune.

1st image is the uncorrected curve, graphed by RPM.
2nd image shows uncorrected peak torque, 1208ft/lbs at 2000RPM.
3rd image shows uncorrected peak HP, 584 at 3150RPM.
4th image (sorry about the quality) shows a graph by MPH in 6th gear, ending at 141mph.

5th image is a comparison between our tune and our nearest competitor's. Note the difference in power curve, and lack of fluctuation and defueling. Much time has been spent debugging the Spartan file to make the power curve long, smooth, and nasty. It hits HARD during acceleration, and pulls like a freight train.

The correction that our dyno "wanted" at our density altitude and temperature was 1.105, which would put corrected HP at 645. I don't believe this to be realistic or true. From past experience, a correction from our shop to sea level is more line (on other customers' trucks) at 1.04 to 1.05. This puts the power from 607 to 613 corrected, which is much more realistic.

Either way, this is a 600RWHP/1200RWTQ file :evil

Also note, it is still making 536HP at the tire, at 141mph:pimp:

Nice numbers. Is shift on the fly still up in the air and do you think it will be tough to do tunes for dual pumps, turbos, trans, etc or do yall have pretty good baselines to start with?
