6.7 High Idle

My buddy has a 2011 6.7. Was wondering if you could wire a high idle in to an upfitter, or if you need a programmer to accomplish this?

So... power supply, to upfitter, to pto and a resistor in there somewhere? Would that work? No remote start for now. Im not the greatest with trying to figure out wiring.

I don't know how the wiring works if you are just using a resistor. Someone here should.

I did it a while back with a 20k resistor. Works good. I'll check which wires I tied into later.

Thats all that you have to do? Wire the one color to an auxiliary switch and tie the resistor between the pto rpm wire and reference wire?

Yes that's how mine works. Only thing that sucks is it won't work with the factory remote start unless you put in your own switch with some kind of power source.

Ok. Just makin sure. I was about to say, wtf did I do now? Lol..
