Any pickup can have any available front spring code - depending on options, and it doesn't matter whether F-250, F-350 SRW or F-350 DRW. Here are the spring codes for the front leaf springs on '99 thru '04 PSD 4x4 pickups:

T = 4,400 pounds @ground
U = 4,800
V = 5,200
W = 5,600 (rare on a pickup)
X = 6,000 (only with snow-plow pkg on a pickup)

Rear spring codes:
A = F-250 & Excursion (6,084 pounds @ground)
B = F-350 SRW (6,830 pounds @ground)
C = F-350 DRW (8,250 pounds @ground)

Obs trucks came with u codes with a diesel too ... Both the c&c and work obs sit just fine with the u codes
And both have plows
Obs even clears 285s on original u codes from 97 ...all while hanging a 8 foot western plow

Who says its OK...IMO its not OK just because Ford builds it, that doesn't make it right..case in point look at the thousands of Excursion's with U codes that destroy the bump stops and bottom out...same for some F250-350's..

'05 up's that do not have enough Castor and Radius arms that bind

SD U codes will have a neg arch...Never seen a OBS good condition spring do that..its a different spring.

OBS trucks are lighter than a SD also...

Actually gonna lower my truck. Since I have Shackles and hangers on the front just go throw stock springs and still have 3.5 lift and stockers in the rear.
