I thought about doing it as well but in my opinion the full ****** is complicated. I am glad I had assistance in doing otherwise I would have scratched my head. The directions that are sent with the kit are not helpful at all.

Alright, got something accomplished today! Took advantage of the warm 40 degree weather and installed my bed lights.

I purchased a single gang weather box with blank cover from Lowes. I purchased a Bed Lights toggle switch from Amazon. Cut the blank cover out to accept the toggle switch.

I spray painted the switch box with truck bed liner and mounted it next to the bed trailer connector.

Mounted the LED strips under the tonneau cover aluminum bracket. Sticky tape is what is holding it on.

I ran my power up through the hole that exits near the fuel spout.

*It was still light out so the first picture doesn't really do it justice on how dark it is in the back when the cover is closed.

So yesterday was such a nice day, I slipped out of work early to get home and install my NL Stage 2 Intake.

20170206_143842_zpso3wjqttv.jpg

So I began to dig into what I thought was going to be a relatively quick and easy install.

20170206_143658_zpswgbkyeey.jpg

Got everything removed and was ready to install the NL CAI

20170206_145247_zpsst8dtpzi.jpg

Well, wouldn't you know it...nothing was fitting and aligning up right. Fought with the dang thing for over an hour. Couldn't get the hood to close without the coolant line making contact with underside of hood. Wasn't going to risk denting hood, so put stock back in. Wasted beautiful day. :cursing:

So, today at lunch I ran to the auto parts store and picked up 3ft of 5/8" heater hose, some clamps and hose fittings. Going to remove the metal coolant line and re-route that damn line so I can fit the NL CAI in there. But it's pouring here today, so who knows when I'll get around to it now!

While it was raining today, I figured out how I am putting on board air on the truck and what all I'm going with. Ordered all the stuff to get air and horns on the truck today. Went with this Air Compressor/Tank setup. Viair P/N 10005

This horn setup. Hornblaster Shocker XL Train Horns.

Here is what I did on CAD today...

Plumbing

The air access ports and air bags will come at a later date in time. Excited about getting this started!

And...finally, Thank you all for your time in reading and following along!:naughty::drool:

Yeah your on the right track with the intake. You need to replace that stupid metal hose. Then if your still hitting the hood try clocking the rubber boot a bit. I tried the pipe in every way and thought I had the boot prefect and was still hitting. Just took a little more of a turn on the boot and it cleared. Maf is pretty close to the ac line under the intake but I don't think anything is touching

I took advantage of some great weather this weekend and got a few things accomplished. Saturday was busy with youngest boys basketball game, then oldest boys baseball game (indoor) plus it being his birthday, we went to eat, movies, etc. So Saturday was shot.

Woke up Sunday and ran to Lowes because I needed to get some aluminum channel and flat stock to mount my air compressor and horns that arrived last week.

20170211_081446_zpsjqmccpdt.jpg

So not knowing how I was going to install, I walked out of Lowes with $90 worth of aluminum stock and no game plan.

But, first thing was first, when I arrived home, I needed to change oil and rotate tires. So, that's what was accomplished. In the process, replaced my oil pan bolt with the EZ drain.

Collected my sample to send to Blackstone as well.

20170212_091724_zpsmbikitol.jpg

Finally, able to start on some items on my 'Want to do list'

Last week I purchased the hose for the coolant reroute, so started that so I can finish my CAI

Closer look at the hose reroute

Can now close the hood!

Finally, what I set out for early in the morning to do...install my air compressor and tank. I knew I wouldn't get it all done (Compressor, Tank, Horns, Plumbing, Wiring) but I wanted to accomplish mounting the tank and compressor for sure.

Here is what I came up with for mounting the tank.

20170212_154824_zps2eugqkvz.jpg

20170212_154817_zpskzyrah9q.jpg

It's OK...not as good as I thought it would come out to be, but there is just not a lot of room to mount it under these trucks. This was passenger side right below passenger front door.

The compressor was mounted just a littler further back (under passenger rear door)

20170213_093104_zpsfyzpeom3.jpg

Drilled holes in the rail...didn't want to but that was my only option.

I was able to put the pressure switch in the tank, the safety blow off, the drain cock, the 1/2" push to connect for the air horn supply and the 1/4" push to connect for the manifold. Ran the line to the manifold. Mounted that further back on the rail on the passenger side.

20170213_093112_zpsj7xfadgu.jpg

Hoping I can finish this install this week or coming weekend if the weather is nice.

Slow and steady...

A tiny bit accomplished tonight. Trying to figure out where to mount these. I want the valve near them and want the tubing to be equal lengths to each. I'm thinking either I'll mount 2 on passenger side further back behind the compressor and 2 will be on the driver side directly across from the other 2 on the passenger side. Mount the valve somewhere in between. Or I'll mount all 4 of them on the driver side. Ran out of daylight to figure that out tonight.

Any body have any ideas? Not as easy as my last truck with no spare tire.

Thanks.

Nice again yesterday, got home and figured out where to mount the horns finally. Was all over the underneath looking around. Settled on this setup, on the passenger side, just behind the air compressor. Tucked up between the rocker and the frame rail. Using existing holes in the frame rail to mount to and will need to drill one hole on the inside of the rocker. Just need to tie the horn ends together and figure out mounting point for them.

Taking Friday off, so should have enough time to install these and get everything wired up and plumbed.

Maybe I'll get around to painting it this weekend since it's suppose to be in the 60s.

Quality is good. I'll paint it black, as my truck is all black. Doing so will probably then make me want/need to paint the bumper and the mirror caps.
