No good area to post this in so I figured I would here.

This truck needed some help in the looks department and since I didnt want to pay to get it repainted and I also hated the 2 tone with brown, I figured why not...... I bought the tintable raptor liner kit of ebay because I've used it in beds before and it works JUST as good as most commercial bedliners I've been around. 120 bucks for the kit which is far cheaper than the 800 bucks I was quoted for a shop to do it.

Anyway we pulled truck up to Cambell Autobody in New Berlin Illinois and got started. Heres what the truck looked like before....

Started taping and sanding with 160 grit. Taping took about 20 minutes and sanding took probably the same. Very easy process if you have the equipment.

Finishing prep and starting to spray. Very easy to mix up and spraying it all on literally took 10 minutes. I can't believe how easy it was. My buddy convinced me to let him pinstripe it to break the 2 colors up and now I think I like it. I am super impressed with how well it looks now.

After prepping the surface with 160 grit and the way it feels now I don't think theres anyway its coming off. We shot it on a piece of smooth air duct and then flexed the duct after it was dry and it didnt even pop. I am NOT a fan of the rattle can stuff, this stuff is lightyears better as I have tried it all. Its comparable to about any of the commercial types from what I can tell. You wont be disappointed.

What did you use to tint it? Product and ratio.

I just use black base coat from the body shop and you are to use a max of 10% per bottle. All you do is pour the hardener in up to a marked line, then I poured in about 2 ounces of black base and shook it for 2 minutes. Very easy to use.

You're gonna love it the first time your tires kick up a rock and it saves your paint. Had mine Rhino lined 3 years ago to get rid of the two tone. I'd do the whole truck if I didn't want to here the wife bitch. Guess I'm whipped.
