Anyone know of a good turorial video on retrofitting our superdutys? Ive seen some on youtube but on various vehicles. Seeing some of yalls headlights makes me want some bad! I dont think I can justify $900+ for a paintjob and retrofitting some projectors in. Anyone had much luck doing it their self?

There's 2 good threads on doing them yourself. If I remember correctly it was from members - gigabit & fx44au.

Not that hard. Hardest part is opening them up and it's just time consuming if haven't done many

With my truck would yall go with black? Caribou to match two tone? Or white? Just wanting some opinions. Im thinkin it wouldbe so hard to match the white or caribou that black would be best option

It is really very easy as long as you would use the D2S projectors. A minor amount of cutting and sanding with a dremel and the rest is very straightforward.

Not only do they look cool, but the difference in light output and quality is substantial.

Price wise, I think you'd only end up saving maybe 1-200 bucks. How mechanically inclined are you? Smart with electronics? I'd just rather have someone who's job it is to do such a thing, do it for me :p But you may be more comfortable with doing it yourself. As for the color, like someone else said, Caribou would look sweet I think.

I did a painted set with projectors with dummies in turn signals for right under 400 including a retrofit hid kit. Most businesses will charge 1k to do that setup with hids and that's not including shipping cost if you choose to ship your lights to them. Most businesses use aftermarket headlights also.

Those look good, for painting how did you prep the "chromed" plastic?

Just sand, primer, sand, primer, paint clear?
