Posted this in another post before asking about the courser mxt but I still feel same way and have great results with them.

I run Mastercraft Mxt on my f250 and love them. Not greatest on ice but everything else they are pretty great. Never been stuck with them. Great for snow, mud, sand and pavement. Have about 20k + on the them now and still more then half. They are wearing down great. But I will say that when they start to wear you get little hum. Overall great tire for the price IMO.

Now I have more then 20k on the tires probably around 30k and they still have a good amount of tread left! I do rotate them every two oil changes and they barely have any chop to them. If I was gonna get another set of 35s, I get courser mxt again.

So you isn't have the squishy feeling in curves as described by Frank's experience with them?

That's the type of thing that's annoying is 2 people have different outcomes with the same product.

I wonder since hers was on the expedition and with the added weight on the rear had them feeling sloppy in curves

Mine were pretty squirmy till they got broke in, it took couple thousand miles before they tightened up. I ran them at 60 psi on stock wheels and run then at 70 now on wider wheels...

The old stt where scary to drive for the first 200 miles. Really floaty in the corners. Either they firmed up some or you got used to it. Didn't last too long on my truck. 15-20k but I drive mostly dirt roads. I've heard good things about the new stt pro's but haven't ran them yet.

Have you looked into the toyo Mt or the new rt's.

Yeah, i still haven't gotten used to the squishiness and I'm easily 30k in... :shrug: again, they're on an EX- 35s on 18s, so it's more weight and sidewall than some of y'all run. I've had sidewall flex issues running larger tires on 16 and 16.5 wheels, it's not the same. I've run bias ply military TOs on a SD and dealt with that squirm, especially towing, before as well... I get that not all tires are created equal. These are just unhappy on corners and higher speeds.

I won't order them again because I'm not happy with the ride characteristics and noise, but no complaints on their offroad handling (other than throwing **** everywhere LOL) or how long they're lasting. Just one opinion knowing how you drive. :poke:

I have run Hankook tires with great results I ran the all trains when I pull them off the truck I had 80,000 miles on them

I've ran STTs for the past 11 years.

33s and 35s on a stock 16" rim for my e99 and would average over 45k miles

My dodge has them 35s on 20s and with rotating them once a year I see no reason why I won't get 45k out of them too

Personally, I run Treadwright. I know everyone is going to jump on me because they are a retread, but my last five trucks, a dozen sets, they are still my go to tire. I have only had an issue with one tire, and they sent me overnight a replacement. And FYI, ever since the retread fiasco way back in the day, that industry is more tightly controlled for build and wear quality than new tires. Just my $.02 fwiw, ymmv

I've ran many different brands of all terrain and mud tires and so has my brother. Different types of Interco Super Swampers, Nitto, Bf Goodrich, Maxxis(on my truck when I bought it), Goodyear, and currently both running Cooper STT Max which are in between an all terrain and mud tire. I had Cooper ATPs prior to these which I also liked and actually still have on my old wheels. I know you had MTs posted but we have both been very happy with Coopers especially with the wear. My brother likes his Coopers much more than his old Duratracs, didn't really care for them because of how quickly they wore out for him and his definitely had the squirmy, floaty sensation, they were E rated. My least favorite were my Nittos I had on my dodge, which didn't even last 20,000 miles, also E rated and rotated regularly. Again sorry, no experience with the exact tires you were asking about.

dont listen to bermans opinion on the mxt's. my 35 mxt's ride better, are quieter, and are wearing like a pig snout compared to the duratracs i ran.. i rotate religiously at 5k with my oci and they stay square and not chopped.... i have balance beads in them and love them!! cant be beat for the price imo.. they are E rated and only a 65lb tire.. i have 52psi in the fronts and 44psi in rears and they are wearing dead even across the tread blocks..

Thing I find funny is that many people think that Mastercraft is just some cheap tire made by Cooper, but they have been around for over 100 years.

Mastercraft is what I've run on my last 2 rigs and what I will continue to run. All the others are WAY overpriced imo, and are priced that way because they're the "cool" tire.

Only reason I've stayed away from those 2 are I've heard them compared to the rough riding Micky Thompsons which are on the truck now and that I would never buy again.

But that's why I made the thread because everyone has different experiences with different products.

My mickey thompsons are awesome. Last 3 sets on my super duty have been MT baja atz and one set of baja claws.

I dont have a great answer because the last set were on my 18" wrlds and they went with the wheels upon sale. They had 30k on them and there was 12/32 on them and closer to 11 on the fronts.

The ones I have now have 20k on them and they look new honestly. Im gonna say they'll last 50k. Maybe 55.

I absolutely hate my Mickey Thompson mtz's. I've got maybe 15k on them and they are down to the wear bars. These are on my personal truck and it's mostly city driving. They suck in the snow. Ok in the rain. They are only a d load range. The size is 315/70/16.
