Well it seems to be one thing after another, just got the tranny put back in a few weeks ago and now the trucks not running right. it will at first seem like its fine then a 1/4 mile down the road it starts loosing power and missing. It never seems to recover after it starts. At this point Im having a hell of a time keeping any speed. I just changed the oil tonight thinking that was the issue and the fuel filter not that long ago. The truck has roughly 277,800 on it. This pretty much came out of nowhere. Im at whits end.

Does the SES light come on? It sounds like my truck did when the fuel gelled up on me, but you said you replaced the fuel filter.

Check the connection on the back of the IPR and on the ICP just to make sure they are making good contact. Take a look at the valve cover harnesses and give the wires a quick wiggle to make sure they are good and tight and didn't work themselves loose.

Those are the quick and easy things I can think of now.

Ive played with the outside connectors on the valve cover with it running like that and no change. The inside connector I did the half quarter mod( poor man shim kit). This afternoon, before the oil change I checked both the ipr and icp connections to be sure. As for the SES light it didnt do it today, but when it pulled this yesturday it would blink so quick I barely seen it. And its not cold enough yet to worry about fuel gelling.

Check to see if you have any codes stored with a good scan tool like Auto Enginuity or something like that. Do the basic tests like KOEO and KOER as well. Maybe someone in your area has AE.

Well thats a no go. Ran fine with a bit of a miss and white smoke when I throttled up to about 1500 rpms when not at normal operating temp. Got up to operating temp and its back to its old running like ****. Heres a vid of how its running:

Still trying to figure this out. Went over to the "other" site and did some searching, found a few threads that the symptoms were identical on but no one posted up what was the problem. Im just about at wits end, were down to 1 running vehicle at the moment and I need to get this figured out before the end of the weekend. What kills me is before the tranny went out it never had this issue, it sat 1 1/2 months while I got the tranny removed, rebuilt and re-installed.

You can try some Sea-Foam in your fuel bowl. I would also suggest to check your MAP sensor & definitely replace the MAP line between the sensor & intake Y.Also check the spring in your fuel pressure regulator, on the stock bowl. They've been known to break & will make the truck run bad.Good luck.

Well did a little fiddling with stuff this morning. I decided to unplug the ICP after I got it to start acting up(didnt take much), When I unplugged it it idled down and started sounding worse. Kinda like the ICP is through the roof just to keep it running and when it defaults its to low. Im starting to think some bad injector orings and a combination of some injectors headed south. Trying to get one of my buddys with a Solus over here. What do you guys think.

Noticed that your fuel light is on, have you tried adding some fuel? You might have a cracked foot or duckbill in the tank allowing air into the system.
