70mph Traction Control

I assume my trans is starting to go out. But, I figure I better ask here to be sure.

I got on it at about 70 mph and the traction Control kicked in. It does it periodically. I know the tires aren't spinning. Only guess is Trans starting to go.

Uhh tires can be spinning used to happen to me when I'd lay into it.

yup, i can break mine loose with the tc locked at 60mph...especially if the road is a little wet

When my direct clutches were gone my traction control would kick in pretty easily. but you could see the rise in RPM on the tack without the feel of acceleration.

Not burn them but slip them enough to cause the t/c to come on. Very easy in a 6.4 on a new road. Esp if there's any minute amount of moisture.

Gotta be a balder tires thing.... I did it on BFG a/t's and the 2wd would do it on the michelins on a damp road.

my truck, decently built, on bald MT's wouldn't spin them at 70 if it was raining.

Got to be a transmission issue or oily pavement.

70mph tire spin is some huge torque... you don't have that kind of ability at 600hp.

we have dirty roads up here...lots of oil and "dust" on them. I've done it more than once around 60ish when i had the bald stock tires on it

Iv rode in a mildly built 6.0 that would spin at 60mph +.......

Mind you it had very worn - stock size tires with a one tire fryer.

Didn't take much to fry up the 31" pizza cutters lol

My 6spd 6.4 I had with fairly new 35" cooper stt would get the butt hopping a lil now an then at 70-75 on dry pavement.
