oil filter cap

When you loosened and took off the cap was there still oil standing and draining from the oil filter housing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Turbo question

I also threw a p0299 for under boost after the fact.. I pulled the turbo and there's a bunch of oil and some metal shavings in the hot side and down pipe.. Also more oil than usual in intercooler tubes. Not sure where the shavings came from considering turbine spins freely but there is a tad...

Turbo question

I'm pretty sure I'm due for a turbo now but before it went I had pretty sporadic boost.. It would boost up to 27lbs then go down to 20lbs and just go back up and down. I was just curious if that is a pretty common thing to have happen when they're about to go? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

trouble shooting a boost leak

Boost leak on the exhaust side you should see where the soot is escaping. Intake side would be a little harder to pinpoint without help from a friend to help listen while building boost maybe? Use a cone or funnel up to your ear to pinpoint when you do hear it. Or cover areas with your hand...
