Tuning the 7.3 in current times
I believe Powdered Metal Rods up to about 2000 they had normal cast connecting rods. Then they went with powdered metal.- Crazy Canuck

265's on stock dually rims 2011
Just got the new tires on and do they look great. Not noisy at all. Hankook RT03 265/70/17 thankx guys for your replies. I also balanced them with the beads from Magnum.- Crazy Canuck

WTB 2011 Dually wheels and tires
looking at American Force or Vision. 19.5 8 bolt dually. 225 or 245 still not sure. i need them for winter as well as daily driver and looking to go with the Michelin XDS2. any thoughts? anyone know a good vendor? i will drive down from Canada to get them mounted.- Crazy Canuck

Yes Banks keeps all the smog stuff, I believe other tuners allow this as well. My only local option was a company that would put one tune and of course if I then had to go back for warranty then I would be caught with a tuned truck. This option allowed other benefits. So far everything is running great. Have not ran a full tank through, but behaves very good I have more control of the torque. There is not the big delay on take off anymore. Will try to keep everyone up to date later.- Crazy Canuck

I am not that close to my dealer either but I know my dealer doesn't delete warranty on an engine when you change a light bulb in the cab lights. ( he doesn't kill warranty unless there was a good chance what I did was the fault, is what I mean ). And my last truck I bought used had no warranty...- Crazy Canuck

The warranty is always a concern, but if the benefits outweigh the risks then I would be willing to forgo some of my engine warranty. The truck has been very good up till now, and there has been three years of testing and development with wonderful results.- Crazy Canuck

Thankx... I live up here north of most of you. -40 last couple days so any tuning has to be able to be down tuned until engine warms up then the timing and fuel can be added for performance, my old 7.3 had a bit of upgrades, 38r single shots and custom tuning 4 link air ride etc. but it wasn't...- Crazy Canuck
